Dr Sabrina Tahboub-Schulte – RESEARCH DIRECTOR
Dr Sabrina Tahboub-Schulte is a clinical researcher in the field of eating disorders.
She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Psychology from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, and then moved to the UK where she received her PhD in Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University. Her PhD project has examined treatment pathways of people suffering from co-morbid mental illnesses and Dr Tahboub-Schulte has worked as a researcher for specialist treatment services in the UK and the UAE before she joined the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in 2008.She works as a full-time lecturer at AUS and her primary research interests include the full spectrum of eating disorders and related issues.
Dr Tahboub-Schulte is an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED).
For her research projects she works with student populations and client samples from UAE-based treatment centers. Dr Tahboub-Schulte’s research has been published in a number of international journals.
